Obituary

Linda McSwain (nee Devic)
Passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on April 9, at the age of 76. Daughter of the late John and Natalie Devic. Linda is survived by her husband and soulmate of 53 years, Donald McSwain. Also survived by her daughters, Karen (Mo) McSwain, Maureen (Gary) Ziemba and Molly (Marty) Barrett; loving sister Annmarie (James) Pickard and the late Jack (Ellie) Devic; sister-in-law to Charles McSwain and Nancy Carr; also survived by five grandchildren, Gaelin, Nicholas, Lauren, Shea and Carter. She was known for her zest for life, endless energy, great sense of humor and her love of exercise. She enjoyed baking, sewing, traveling with husband, a good book, and her Chardonnay. Linda will be dearly missed by her family and many wonderful friends. Throughout her life she was known for her giving spirit. Linda worked 32 years as a physical education teacher for Buffalo Public Schools. Per Linda's request no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Louis RC Church (Main & Edward) on Wednesday, April 19 at 10 AM. Please assemble at church. Internment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Catholic Charities or Hospice Buffalo in Linda's name. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Roswell and Hospice Buffalo for their kindness and compassion during her illness. Even though their hearts are broken, the family takes comfort knowing that Linda is now at peace with the Lord. Arrangements by AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC.
