KELLEY - Margaret
Born July 20, 1924 in Oswaldtwistle, England, came to America in 1946, died October 24th, 2017. She leaves behind a family who loved her dearly, son, Jim and wife Kathy; son, Stuart; daughter, Jackie and husband Gerry and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who called her GG; predeceased by husband, Jack; son, Timothy and daughter, Paula. As a young woman, she volunteered in one of the greatest civilian armies during WWII. During this time she enforced rationing and blackout regulations. She was a devoted member of the fire service, manning roof top water pumps during air raids, while working in a fighter plane factory producing the 1st ever Plexiglass canopies. After her devoted service, she lived a quiet life, enjoying family, friends, church, quilting and was an avid poetry lover. She was loved by everyone she met. She was a quiet and gentle woman, who put all those she met at ease. Though she had a quiet disposition, she had great inner strength. She will be missed by all those who knew her. Services to be held Monday, October 30th, at 11am at Town Line Lutheran Church, 1159 Townline Road, Alden. Please share condolences at
