Beloved Husband, Father and Papa

Ralph T. Acland, 57, of 17th Street. Niagara Falls, NY. died suddenly Sunday January 23, 2005 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.. He was born in Dunnville, Ontario on June 25, 1947 to the late Emma (Shank) Brown and Donald Acland. After moving to Niagara Falls as a young child, Ralph attended Trott Vocational High School. On December 3, 1966 he married the former Christine Gadacz in St. Joseph Church.

For over 35 years Mr. Acland worked as a general utility operator for the Carbon Graphite Group in Niagara Falls, NY. He retired in 2002.
Ralph enjoyed sports, especially watching his grandsons participate. He also enjoyed hunting, but most of all his favorite hobby was spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Christine (Gadacz) Acland of Niagara Falls, NY. two daughters; Tara (Lorne) Shotwell of Lewiston, NY., Mindi (David) Ocejo of Youngstown, NY., three grandsons; Lorne, Tyler and Nicholas Shotwell, a granddaughter; Kylie Ocejo, four sisters; Donalda Acland, Robin Murray, both of Niagara Falls, NY., Kimberly Sensabaugh of Amherst, NY., and Loy's Sensabaugh of Fort Erie, Ont.He is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Mr. Acland was predeceased by his parents.

The family will be present to receive friends Wednesday January 26, 2005, 2-7 PM
at the SPALLINO-AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME 1300 Pine Avenue Niagara Falls, NY. where prayers will be said Thursday morning January 27, 2005 at 9:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Joseph Church 1413 Pine Ave. Niagara Falls, NY. at 10:30 AM. Rev. Louis S. Klein, officiating. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY. Friends invited
