MCDONALD - EVELYN G. “Evie” (nee Cappellini)
October 3, 2018. Surrounded by family, Evie passed away at age 82 after a brief illness. Wife of the late Evan J. McDonald and sister to Mary Lou Cappellini and the late Rose (late Sal) Mistretta. Survived by 7 children Marie (Robert Dowling), Christine (Kirkland Gilmer), Evan P. (Libby Meyer), Maureen, Thomas (Rochelle), David, and Peter (Bianca Fong); by grandchildren Matthew, Andrew and Michael Dowling; Brendan, Amelia and Alina Gilmer; Quinn McDonald; Daniel Emilio; and Olivia, Lia, and Max McDonald; and by several nieces and nephews. Committed to spiritual life, Evie was active with St. John the Baptist Church and Spiritus Christi. Evie demonstrated dedication and service to others through volunteer work with Little Portion Friary, Schofield Residence Nursing Facility, Peaceprints Prison Ministry, Lions Club, the Social Justice group, and more. Evie loved the arts and culture, engaging discussion, the inspiration of nature, and most of all to be with family and friends. Arrangements by AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, Inc. welcoming visitation from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, Sunday, October 7 at 2600 Sheridan Dr. in Tonawanda . Funeral Mass will be 10:45 am Monday, October 8 at St John the Baptist Church, 1085 Englewood Ave in Tonawanda.
